Johnny Day’s lighthearted playfulness is coupled with a laser focus that drives him to his true passion for country music. This twenty-three year old, true-blue country artist has been known to work for twelve hours in the oil fields, only to drive 80 miles to the studio to lay down tracks with his incredible band.
The ear-catching melodies inspired by Johnny’s experiences growing up on the Colorado Plains have come to life through his collaboration with seasoned and award-winning producer, Steve Avedis. Johnny’s innovative sound is a fusion of old-time country music and a fresh style of lead electric guitar.
With a nod to George Straight and Brad Paisley, each song on his EP, Johnny Day Replay is filled with inventiveness and astoundingly memorable hooks, enticing the listener to dance and sing along.
Johnny Day is an experienced performer, enlivening the stage at many of Colorado’s finest venues including Comfort Dental Amphitheatre, The Budweiser Event Center, The Mishawaka Amphitheatre, and The Thunder Mountain Amphitheatre. During his career, Johnny has opened for The Doobie Brothers, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Love & Theft, Frankie Ballard, and many more. Joined by his tremendous bandmates, Johnny is known for rousing the crowd into a swaying, singing celebration.
“It’s not why I got into radio, but getting to play GREAT music from local artists has quickly become my favorite part of my job. Johnny Day has as much talent as anyone in Nashville right now, and we are lucky to have him in NoCo!”
“You just heard what I think is one of the best local songs I’ve heard in a long time. … I told you that honestly, and it’s with all-due respect to the local artists I’ve played before, they’re all wonderful, but this is radio quality stuff. Right now it’s ‘Breakin’ It Down’, Johnny Day in the studio with us.”
